Errand, delivery, and courier services in the greater Bozeman, Montana area.

In this series of anecdotes, the owner of MERCURY ERRANDS, James, relates to you a few of the experiences that make MERCURY ERRANDS what it is…a business dedicated to serving its customers. Here we go: Enjoy!

Some rules have to be broken. That’s just fact!

MERCURY ERRANDS has a five-day work week — but we are amenable, when warranted, to providing ‘urgent’ courier service outside our normal workday and on Saturdays and Sundays. Whereas we don’t get too many of these requests, we got one recently that genuinely qualified as urgent.

A woman called at 9:00 am one Sunday, pleading for our services and hoping that her need would qualify as a reason for us to take a Sunday courier job. She was under contract to buy a local restaurant, however, she decided at the last minute, after running the numbers, that this purchase was not really within her best interest.

Eager to be released from that prospective purchase, she called MERCURY ERRANDS.

She told us that she had to hand-deliver a signed release form to the business owner of the restaurant by 10:30 am that morning. With children underfoot and awaiting their Sunday morning breakfast, she had no time to deliver the form that would release herself from this unwise business deal. She was at our mercy. “Please Release Me, Let Me Go,” comes to mind. (Engelbert Humperdinck, 1989).  🙂

We gave her a quote for our services, including the extra charge for the Sunday ‘Express’ service. Compared to the price of buying a business that would not be solvent in three years, the cost of our service was next to nothing to her.

MERCURY ERRAND picked up the aforementioned document and rushed to make the delivery. And whew!  Right at 10:20 am, just in the nick of time — the document was delivered.

You could hear relief and joy in the voice of our client when we notified her that she was released from the unwanted contract. And, then with our Sunday rescue mission accomplished, we were ready to relax for the rest of our Sunday off.

At MERCURY ERRANDS, we think extending our hearts beyond our scheduled weekday is the right thing to do. Give James a call at 406-600-9925. He’s happy to serve you.
