Years ago, MERCURY ERRANDS started a community beautification project picking up and recycling abandoned yet valuable furniture to local thrift stores. In the college town of Bozeman, there is plenty to go around.

Besides, who wants to see some couch that has lost its value and is deteriorating sitting roadside for days after a rainstorm? Once again, MERCURY ERRANDS comes to the rescue!

Here’s a case in point. We spotted a very nice couch curbside one cloudy Sunday afternoon and picked it up shortly before a heavy rain occurred.

To restore the value of these items, we often do light cleaning, polishing, and any minor repairs. This ‘detailing’ is indeed a nice change of pace from all the driving we usually do. It’s almost like a pastime in that we believe these upgrades will bring happiness to the new owners.

To be sure, we understand the plight of those vacating a residence. Often, there may not be the time or means to deal with unwanted items. Hence, furniture often ends up curbside, homeless.

We are glad to be engaged in this rewarding endeavor. We love doing our part to make and keep Bozeman the cleanest college town around! After all, one man’s trash can be another man’s treasure – thanks to MERCURY ERRANDS!
