Dashing Through the Snow – On a One-Day Carpet Job

One snowy day in Bozeman, Montana, at 9:30 in the morning, a New York City carpet retailer called MERCURY ERRANDS, asking us to finish a job that another courier service was unable to complete within the requisite two days. We had to deliver a 120-pound carpet by 5:00 that evening to Jackson, Wyoming, a city that is easily five hours away, one-way.

With another driver in tow in order to complete this job and return to Bozeman the same day, MERCURY ERRANDS was on the road by 11:30am. We picked up the carpet. With snowy road conditions and passes all the way from Bozeman to Jackson, the 250-mile trip promised to be challenging. Concerned about a possible closure of the Teton Pass, we dashed through the white and drifted snow for the one-day carpet job.

Over snowy roads and through the woods of a long private drive we drove — and despite conditions, we delivered that carpet on time. Satisfied that MERCURY ERRANDS once again was able to get the job done, we headed back over the Teton Pass before a possible closure occurred — and headed home.
