10:30am – MERCURY ERRANDS received a call from a UK film production company. Should we choose to accept, we would be hired to deliver a camera lens required to complete the filming of a National Geographic documentary .
We were to receive the shipment from a Billings, Montana courier by 3:00 that afternoon and would have to deliver it to West Yellowstone, Montana by 7:00 the next morning. Mission accepted!
3:00pm – Uh, oh! The shipment of the camera lens from the Billings courier did not arrive.
4:00pm – A quick call to the courier service assured us that the driver would call us with the reason for the delay. He did not.
7:00am (the next day) – The camera lens was due in West Yellowstone, but…MERCURY ERRANDS had not yet received it. The Billings courier called, however, with the news that the shipment would be arriving within the hour.
7:45am – Finally! The camera lens shipment arrived! The courier driver apologetically informed us that no one had told him of the critical nature of the timing. Hmmm.
With winged feet, MERCURY ERRANDS flew into action.
11:30am – Only a few hours late, MERCURY ERRANDS successfully delivered the much needed camera lens. Now the National Geographic documentary could continue filming. Mission accomplished!
Later that day – Our thrilled British client praised us for our quality service, and in her cockney accent, she enthusiastically exclaimed, “Brilliant!!”
